Domestic abuse is ‘any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening, degrading and violent behaviour, including sexual violence, in the majority of cases by a partner or ex-partner, but also by a family member or carer. It is very common.” (Women’s Aid)

Both men and women can be victims of domestic abuse. There’s help available:

Statistically, it is true that more women than men are abused within the home, however men can also be victims.
