Lecturer and Mental Health First Aid instructor Kiechelle Degale is balancing her work with NHS volunteering and helping in the local community.

“There is nothing so great as a kind and thoughtful good neighbour” –Alan (Kiechelle’s neighbour)

Kiechelle helps Alan with his weekly shopping and collecting medicine. She normally leaves items at his door, but he kindly posed for this socially distanced pic.

Keen on giving to the community and helping others, Kiechelle is a volunteer NHS Responder for ‘Check in and Chat’ (https://volunteering.royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk/nhs-volunteer-responders).

She’s also just finished training as a volunteer crisis counsellor for Shout (https://www.giveusashout.org/).

Well done Kiechelle – we’re so proud of how you’re continuing to help others!
